Goodreads Semi-Finals

Quick and dirty, since I stink.

(Allow me to explain. I rode a horse today. So it's a good horsey kind of stink.)

1) UNDER THE NEVER SKY has made it to the semi-final rounds of Goodreads YA Fantasy/Sci-Fi Best Book of 2012! Such an honor. Man. The books that my book is in the running with (against? with?) are insane. I'm so honored. If you liked UTNS, please vote! Much appreciated!

2) I am almost done with drafting INTO THE STILL BLUE, and guys, I might be in love with this book. It might be the best one I've ever written. Or drafted. We shall see, but I'm excited.

3) Cross your fingers for me. This Wednesday my agent presents my new project/brain child/idea thing to my editor. I can't get into specifics, but this idea is keeping me up at night. If I can get it anywhere close to as epic on the page as it is in my head, then... just whoa.

4) I need to go shower!

Thank you for coming by! Stay awesome.

And to all the Veterans out there, THANK YOU!

  1. Yay for the new project/brain child/idea thing!! Although it probably won't be until like 2014 that we can read it, (if it's a story?) I'm super excited for you! I wonder if it has to do with you riding a horse... research? or just for funnsies?

Also - I know TTEN hasn't even published yet, but I'm going crazy thinking of who/what will be on the cover for Into The Still Blue. Maybe a character we haven't met yet... hmmm. My brain is going into overtime thinking about it.

    1. Sallie I totally thought of the cover too! I think it will be Perry & Aria together - that's my guess!

  2. Veronica you are too modest! I read 5 of the books in your category and yours was undeniably, indisputably, the BEST!! I voted for you, hope you win :-)

Also book 3 is almost done - ahhhhhhhhhhh! I'm DYING. HURRY!

And I'm so excited to hear you have something new lined up! You're a good writer so I will definitely be interested in seeing what you do post-UTNS. Good luck! =]

    1. Let's be honest, she could publish a non-fiction novel and we'd be salivating. :)

  3. 1) Of course I voted for UTNS

    2) I'm already in love with the story so and can't wait to read the next books!

    3) *fingers crossed* though if it's even close to as good as UTNS (which I'm sure it is) then you don't need luck at all ;)

    4) Yes, horse stink is good stink, but you wouldn't want to sleep with that on you.

  5. Voted for UTNS. None of the books in the category had the chemistry that Perry/Aria had. I couldn't stop gushing about it. I'm at the point where people just want me to shut up...but I can't :)

  6. #1: I VOTED I VOTED I VOTED. The breeding stud can show me his gratitude now, please.

#2: I DIEEEEEEE. Haven't even read Through The Ever Night yet and I'm weeping over how long away Into THe Still Blue is.

#3: A NEW ROSSI BOOK?!?! (oh come on, you're you. Of course it's going to sell. Have you seen how beautiful your writing is?) *FANGIRL SQUEALING* I am so EXCITED for you! Usually I don't want authors to finish writing a series (and hell, I DON'T want you to finish with Perry and Aria), but the idea of something new from you is just too effing appealing!

You even write about stench with such beauty <3
